4-H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime.

In partnership with Central State University’s Cooperative Extension, 4-H at Gabriel’s Place will provide youth, ages 8-18 yrs old, with opportunities to complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.

Healthy Happy Hour

Healthy Happy Hour is an informal gathering to learn about health issues in a comfortable, relaxed environment. Talk with health professionals, hear from survivors, and gain knowledge about prevention and management of a variety of health issues. Topics include diabetes, heart disease, mental health, men and women’s health issues, and more.

Everyone with Diabetes Counts

Do you or someone you love have diabetes? Have you been diagnosed with pre-diabetes? Everyone with Diabetes Counts is a 6-week program for persons 60 years of age and older that encourages small lifestyle changes while learning about diabetes, the way it affects your health, and methods to prevent and manage diabetes through no-cost educational workshops.
